In the first period of French of the year we had to go through a "Language Policy Statement" which included the following sentences and phrases:
"Listening to spoken Italian..."
"Welcome to your Italian studies for this year."
Hello... we're in French class, not Italian! This is what happens when the Italian teacher is appointed head of the LOTE department.
It was pretty funny, though.
